This November, YOU can join the hack club world's largest teen game jam right in Ho Chi Minh City for the first time. Yes, you! It doesn’t matter if you have years of experience, or just learned what they are today.

You’ll join thousands of teens making games from all around the world. Don't consider yourself a game dev? No problem - we have tons of workshops for you to make your game!

This is your chance to learn something new, meet new friends, andgo on an incredible adventure together!

Here is how you can join a game jam this November!

(Don't worry, we'll guide you through each step)

What happens on the day?

Nov 14 (Sat)

  1. 7:00 am Doors open Come find your team and grab breakfast.
  2. 7:30 am Kickoff Announcing game theme
  3. 8:00 am Start making game!
  4. 11:30 am Have lunch! Free delicious food
  5. 12:30 pm Continue making games
  6. 3:00 pm Open submission for 30 min Get a 30 min buffer time before closing submission to get your games ready
  7. 3:30 pm Voting and demo Show off your projects to everyone in the room!
  8. 4:45 pm Awards and Closing Ceremony With many amazing prizes and gifts!
  9. 5:00 pm Go home!

  • Am I eligible?

    If you’re age 13-18, you’re eligible! No prior experience required.

  • But I’ve never coded before!

    Perfect! Game jams are designed for beginners. You’ll have workshops, mentors, and teammates to help you every step of the way. You just need to bring your passion and will to learn to the venue.

  • Can we speak Vietnamese?

    Of course! Organizers are Vietnamese. We will host using Vietnamese, but feel free to communicate in English

  • What are our social channels?

  • I still have questions!

  • I don't have a laptop :3

    Don't worry! You can either unplug your PC and bring whole of them to the venue or we'll let you use our computers (but it'll be tough to download the whole game engine and login accounts there)

  • Wait, is this actually free?

    Yes! Hack Club is a nonprofit helping teens build technical projects at no cost.

  • What if my parents are concerned?

    We’re here to help! You can see our parent guide here, or they can reach out to us at ho-chi-minh-city@haven.hackclub.com for questions.

  • Can I join too if I'm not a participant?

    Of course! We really need volunteers, mentors, participants' chaperones, and parents. We really appreciate your help. Please sign up here!

  • What game making tools can I use?

    You can use any tools! Though for beginners, we suggest using GDevelop.

  • Do I need a team?

    It is NOT NECESSARY. You can still solo leveling in the game jam. Though the more, the merrier - why not? You can find yourself a team of 2 or a team of 3 max
