What is a game jam?

A game jam is a weekend to make a video game with other teens. Build, experiment, and share what you create.

Turn your ideas into playable games. Experiment, learn by building, and create at your own pace.

This November, YOU can join the world's largest teen game jam. Yes, you! It doesn’t matter if you have years of experience, or just learned what they are today.

You’ll join thousands of teens making games from all around the world. Don't consider yourself a game dev? No problem - we have tons of workshops for you to make your game!

This is your chance to learn something new, meet new friends, andgo on an incredible adventure together!

  • Who can attend Haven?

    Haven Hyderabad is for teenagers aged 13–18. Whether you've built games before or are just getting started, you're welcome to participate.

  • Where is Haven happening?

  • Is Haven free?

    Yes, Haven is a free event for eligible participants.

  • How does a game jam work?

    You'll spend the event developing a game, experimenting with ideas, and working towards a playable project. You'll get the chance to share what you've made with other participants.

  • Will there be prizes?

    Yes, prizes are confirmed. Further details will be shared with participants.

  • Can I attend with my friends?

    Yes! You can sign up alongside your friends and enjoy the game jam together.

  • Can I organize a Haven in my own community?

    Hack Club supports teenagers who want to bring events to their communities. Visit Hack Club to learn more about its programs and organizing opportunities.

  • When is Haven?

    Haven Hyderabad takes place on November 14–15, 2026.

  • How do I register?

    Register using the existing signup form on this website. Complete the form to sign up for Haven Hyderabad.

  • Do I need coding or game development experience?

    No prior game development experience is required. You can participate even if this is your first time making a game.

  • What should I bring?

    Bring your laptop, charger, and anything else you need to build your game.

  • Will food be provided?

    Food and snacks are planned for the event. Further arrangements will be communicated to participants.

  • What if my parents have questions?

    Parents can read the Haven parent guide or contact the Haven Hyderabad team at hyderabad.haven@hackclub.com with questions.
